Common Sense® DOT clinch plate - a metal backing plate used when installing Common Sense turn-button fasteners on fabric. This reinforcement washer is specifically designed for canvas hardware to ensure secure, long-lasting installations.

What it does:

  • Reinforces fabric and prevents tearing around the fastener
  • Holds the socket part of the fastener securely in place
  • Prevents the fastener from pulling out under tension
  • Distributes load across a wider area for added strength

Common Sense fasteners are locking turn-buttons that will not open accidentally. Each has a spring mechanism that holds the fastener under tension in the desired position until turned and released by hand.
